The CSV also includes income tax, Medicare levy, monthly take-home and the marginal rate for each salary.
Methodology
- Australian resident for tax purposes for the full year, with the tax-free threshold claimed.
- Salary is the only income. No deductions, no salary sacrifice and no offsets other than the low income tax offset.
- Medicare levy at 2%, with the low-income reduction where it applies.
- Private hospital cover is held, so no Medicare levy surcharge. No HECS/HELP debt.
- Employer super is paid on top of salary and is not deducted.
- Weekly and fortnightly figures divide the annual result by 52 and 26. Actual payroll withholding uses the ATO's tax tables and can differ by a few dollars a pay.
- Salaries of $35,013 or less are left out for now: the ATO has not yet published the low-income Medicare levy thresholds for 2026-27, and we do not publish estimates.
Every figure is produced by the same tax engine as our pay calculator; see how our calculators work. For a single salary with HECS, super and hourly figures, use the salary after tax pages.
